About Erik Norrud

Photographer Erik Norrud has extensive experience as a photographer. In his photographic work he has through 25 years been occupied by humans and storytelling. Through this work, he has learned to get close to the people he photographs and through photographs with strong compositions told both small and big stories. With a background in documentary photography, he is today using his experience to work both journalistic and commercial. He has worked for numerous magazines and newspapers in Norway. In recent years, also for several of the major commercial players and the public through state government agencies. His photographs are characterized by appearing being credible, honest and close. They hold high technical and content quality. Lately he has also worked with video to effectively tell stories both for commercial and editorial actors.

National Portrait Gallery, London, UK - Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2020. Two images from the project The Divine was selected for the exhibition.

2019

Print Space Gallery, London, UK - Photomeet winner’s exhibition. Group exhibition with the three prize winners. My part showed the project The Confined.
